This is the first of our seasonal visiting gardens tours! Oakwell is a historically significant house and garden in Lower Merion next to Stoneleigh.
Community, student and local interest has been mobilized to prevent the Lower Merion School District from clearcutting the property to build student ball fields for the Black Rock Middle School.
Meet at the Stoneleigh parking lot which is adjacent to Oakwell at 11:30 AM (map). Bring a picnic lunch.
There will be a self-guided walking tour of Stoneleigh.
The Oakwell property tour will begin at 1:30 PM.
